Typography - process of making the words visually attractive and effective - to communicate a message.
- Font - what you use
- Typeface - what you see
- My thoughts on typography.... I think typography is important, it plays a big role in how we communicate because it's more than just letters like the size, colour and font has to be taken in consideration aswell as those elements will make the message the word is conveying more effective, for example, if you want a word to stand out, you use a big bold font but that's just one of the ways.
- What did I learn?.... I learned about font and typeface which I didn't know the difference between them which is that typeface is the design of the alphabet and the font is what describes the typeface. I learned a bit about the history of typography from this short video from the lecture.

There was another video that I really enjoyed and thought it was very creative, it was the Ji Lee's 'Word as Image' video. I liked it because it was creative, it was another way to use typography to communicate and in this instance, the typography related to the word, the meaning of the word actually influenced in the way it was set out and what typeface to use, for example, there was a part in the video where the words 'the last supper' appeared on the screen and the 'T' on 'last' turned into a cross which was obviously representing Jesus's crucifixion after the last supper.
