7/10/2015 - Seminar
The task for today was to pair up, think of an object and take turns asking each other 10 questions to guess the object.
We did it twice but both attempts I had a different mindset which I will explain further on.
First attempt - For the first attempt, I wrote the questions beforehand.
1) Are you in this room?
2) Are you a small object?
3) Are you alive?
4) Is it something to do with family?
5) Is it personal to you?
6) Does it get used by you?
7) Have you used/seen it today?
8) When was the last time you have used it?
9) Is it expensive?
10) Is it common?
After the first attempt, we looked at 'call and response' which is a phase where you response to the call, so for the second attempt, I only wrote one question down and I thought of other questions from the answer from the previous question was so I was responding to the previous questions.
For the second attempt, I had a different mindset, it made sense, it wasn't all over the place like the firs attempt and it followed a pattern. I knew what questions to ask by responding to the previous question.
I can use this idea of 'call and response' when I'm researching like if I find a piece of work that influences me, I can response to it and make it personal to me. It will also expand my knowledge.
